My name is Alicia Bakeman, and I am a photographer located in downtown Lexington, MI.
I started photography about six years ago, working all over the United States. My husband fixes waterslides and we travel with him quite often. In fact, we lived steadily on the road for about nine months per calendar year until about two years ago. This allowed me to photograph some of the most beautiful places in the U.S.A. I have also met some of the most talented and genuine people during this time.

I decided to stay home more often after we had our second child. This allowed me to build my client base in Michigan. I had no idea that I would take off as quickly as I did, but it was certainly a dream come to life.

I am very thankful for the place I am in today. Most of the people I meet become great friends, and I photograph them regularly. I watch flirtatious young couples say “I do,” and before we all know it, I am beside them during a long 13 hour labor in the hospital, photographing some of the most vulnerable and sentimental moments of their life.

If you are looking for a photographer in our area, they are not limited. I am surrounded by incredibly talented photographers, and believe in community over competition.

However, if you enjoy my work and you are looking for someone to capture all of your important moments, I’m your girl.

My studio is located on Main Street in the heart of Lexington. Our area is considered “The First Resort North” and does no disappoint on scenery. We have both wooded areas available to us, and my studio is less than 2 minutes from Lexington Harbor.

From engagement- wedding-boudoir-live birth-newborn- milestone, I am experienced in all sorts of photography.
